Personal Training Program
Personal Training is a highly individualized approach to improving and maintaining one's health and fitness goals. Our Personal Trainers will work with you on goal setting to make your workout experience effective, safe, and fun. It is our aim to educate and engage members of the SRC community through improved fitness and health, and to give you the tools you need to live a more fit lifestyle.
What’s Included in a Personal Training Package
An in-depth fitness assessment will be included as an additional session for each initial Personal Training package. Fitness Assessments encompass a variety of tests to address the health-related fitness components such as cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. Assessments will consist of measurements and exercise calculations to determine your baseline fitness level. This information will help your Personal Trainer design a workout program that is right for you and your goals.

Additional Information:
- Sessions are 60 minutes in length
- Based on goals established, training sessions may focus on any of the health-related components of fitness: cardiorespiratory, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition or skill-related components of fitness: agility, balance, coordination, reaction time, speed, and power.
How to Sign Up for Training
Personal training packages may be purchased through the SRC Front Desk using cash or credit card. After purchase, the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator or Student Manager of Fitness will be in contact to pair you with a Personal Trainer on staff. Following this, communication will occur directly with the trainer to set up the initial session and when scheduling dates/times for subsequent sessions.
Note: Packages may be purchased by all-access AND limited-access members.



Meet Our Trainers
Angel Gonzales
My name is Angel Areth Gonzalez. I’m a Biochemistry student with a minor in Mathematics and hold an associate's degree in Biomechanics. My academic background, combined with hands-on experience, has given me a strong foundation in strength training, recovery, and rehabilitation. Over the past four years, I’ve worked as a personal trainer, helping clients ranging from former Division I athletes and semi-professional bodybuilders to those simply pursuing better health. My approach blends scientific understanding with a personalized, sustainable strategy. Fitness is more than physical change, it’s education. Through tailored workouts, practical meal planning, and effective recovery techniques, equipping clients with the tools they need to take control of their long-term health. My goal is to offer expert guidance, clear instruction, and lasting support—helping everyone build a lifestyle that enhances both body and mind.
Jesus Bravo
Jesus Bravo is a new trainer at the SRC, dedicated to enhancing clients' quality of
life both inside and outside the gym. Jesus is a senior Kinesiology Major at CSUB,
and much of what he has learned has helped him develop his training style. He has
a passion for fitness and believes that clients can reach beyond their goals with
the right guidance and mental health support.
Jesus believes there is always something new to learn and apply to his training. Whether
your goal is to build muscle, lose fat, or become more active, Jesus is dedicated
to bringing you results.
