Refunds

If a student meets all conditions necessary of the refund process, the University will refund the student, as soon as reasonably possible, all money collected in excess of any obligations the student might owe the University.

In the event of over payment of tuition and fees, the student does not need to submit paperwork to request a refund. Refund of tuition and fees for which a student is eligible will be "automatic" when a student follows established University procedures to cancel registration, drop courses, or withdraw for the academic period. For more information visit the Refund Policy.

It is the student's responsibility to drop classes, by the published deadlines to avoid charges or be eligible for a full or pro-rated refund. Failure to confirm your enrollment on your myCSUB student portal may result in charges and holds preventing critical university services.

Students who do not plan to attend, should drop all classes before the first day of the semester.

Refund Payments & BMTX, Inc.

CSUB delivers refunds with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc. using the student's selected refund preference.

For more information about BankMobile Disbursements, visit this link: https://disbursements.bmtx.com/refundchoicessso/. You will receive an email from BMTX, Inc. explaining the refund selection process. Students can also refer to our how-to page (link to page) for instructions on selecting a refund preference.
