`Runner Alumni Mentor Program
The `Runner Alumni Mentor Program, established by the Alumni Association in 2018, pairs CSUB alumni and other professionals with sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students who need help with such things as choosing a career path, drafting a resume, interviewing for jobs and networking. RAMP is facilitated through intentional mentor-mentee engagement, coordinated programming and dedicated communication spaces that support meaningful connection and professional growth for our students, alumni, faculty and staff.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, we matched up 48 mentees with 47 mentors.
We facilitate RAMP through a structured application and matching process, supported by program-led communication and curated resources designed to guide and enhance the mentor-mentee relationship.
Students who are not selected for RAMP are encouraged to engage in other alumni and campus-led networking opportunities that allow students from first-year through graduate level to connect with alumni, faculty and staff for informal, short-term career conversations.
