Geology Students Present at 2025 CSUB SRC
On March 7, Geology students Maggie Izumi and Brooklyn Macross presented their research
at the 26th Annual CSUB Student Research Competition run by The Office of Grants,
Research, and Sponsored Programs. Maggie talked about her work constraining the faults
involved in the 2024 magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Taiwan, and Brooklyn discussed her
research studying the potential for mine tailings to be used for CO2 storage. They
both gave excellent presentations and answered tough questions from the judges in
the Physical and Mathematical Sciences Session.
