Fall 2024 Owens Valley Field Trip

On Friday, November 1, Dr. Krugh and Dr. O'Sullivan led the GEOL 2010 (Physical Geology) and GEOL 3000 (Mineralogy and Petrology) classes to Owens Valley to investigate the geological processes acting in that region. Dr. Crewdson, Dr. Herman, and other advanced geology majors tagged along to drive the vans and provide their expertise. Everyone learned a lot and was inspired to think about the real western boundary of the North American plate.

Thanks to Salvador and Elijah for great photos!
