May 4, 2026 - Incoming transfer students will receive an email invitation to schedule an appointment.
June 1, 2026 - Advising and registration begin for incoming transfer students.
First-Time, First-Year Students
June 8, 2026 - Incoming first-time, first-year students will receive an email invitation to schedule an appointment.
June 29, 2026 - Advising and registration begin for incoming first-time, first-year students.
To prepare for your first advising appointment:
- Know your CSUB ID number.
- Check your MyCSUB and release any other non-advising hold, such as the Student Financial Agreement.
- Write down all your questions before your appointment.
- Be prepared to take notes.
- Submit the Intent to Enroll and initial transcripts.
- If you are a student athlete, please have your practice and travel schedules ready.
- If you are in the Hawk Honors Program, please have your Fall honors courses prepared.
- If you are a CAMP student, know the date and time of your required class.
- Review your Transfer Credit Report for accuracy.
- Sign in to your myCSUB.edu portal, go to the Academic Requirements page, and review your Transfer Credit Report.
- All transfer credits should appear before scheduling your advising appointment.
- Be ready to inform your advisor of all college credit earned through college coursework, military credit, AP, IB, or CLEP exams.
- Re-submit your final transcripts after the current grades are posted.
You may use Runner Connect to schedule an advising appointment or call 661-654-2326. If you are having difficulty logging into your MyCSUB or Runner Connect, contact CSUB IT (661-654-4357). All transcripts must be evaluated by the Admissions and Records Office (661-654-3036) before appointments can be made. Please allow 24 hours after transcripts are evaluated to schedule your appointment in Runner Connect.
