Spring 2026 Incoming: Transfer Student Advising & First-Time, First-Year Student Advising

The College of Business and Public Administration will begin advising newly admitted students on November 17, 2025.

You may use Runner Connect to schedule an advising appointment or call 661-654-2326. If you are having difficulty logging into your MyCSUB or Runner Connect, contact CSUB IT (661-654-4357).  All transcripts must be evaluated by the Admissions and Records Office (661-654-3036), before appointments can be made.  Please allow 24 hours after transcripts are evaluated to schedule your appointment in Runner Connect.

To prepare for your first advising appointment:

  • Know your CSUB ID number.
  • Check your MyCSUB and release any other non-advising hold, such as the Student Financial Agreement.
  • Write down all your questions before your appointment.
    • Be prepared to take notes.
  • Submit the Intent to Enroll and initial transcripts.
  • If you are a student athlete, please have your practice and travel schedules ready.
  • If you are in the Hawk Honors Program, please have your Fall honor’s courses prepared.
  • If you are a CAMP student, know the date and time of your required class.
  • Review your Transfer Credit Report for accuracy.
    • Sign into your myCSUB.edu portal go to the Academic Requirements page review your Transfer Credit Report.
    • All transfer credit should appear, before scheduling your advising appointment.
  • Be ready to inform your advisor of all college credit earned through college coursework, military credit, AP, IB or CLEP exams.
  • Re-submit your final transcripts, after current grades are posted.
